Struktur Isirumah dan Kemiskinan di Kuala Lumpur: Satu Analisa Sosio-Demografi

Abstract

The demography of families and households has received little attention from social demographers in the past but has recently gained research interest. Few empirical studies have been conducted in Malaysia, possibly due to theoretical limitations and lack of data. This paper uses existing data from the Kuala Lumpur metropolitan area with two objectives: (1) to describe and analyze aspects of living arrangements in the urban population, and (2) to demonstrate the interrelationships between household structure, ethnicity, and measurement of poverty.
