Air Pollution Control And Air Quality Management In Malaysia

Abstract

This paper has three main sections. The first section traces the history of air pollution as a problem in Malaysia and takes an overview of air pollution sources and magnitudes. This is followed, in the second section, by a discussion of the anti-pollution measures taken by the authorities so far, and their effectiveness as instruments in air pollution abatement and air quality management. Various issues and problems connected with the enforcement of anti-pollution measures are reviewed in the last section.
