Carcinoma of gallbladder: case report with review of the literature

Abstract
An early case of carcinoma of the gallbladder is reported. The aim of this report is to emphasise the fact that early preoperative diagnosis of gallbladder carcinoma depends on clinical awareness and characteristic ultrasonographic findings of the disease. Once diagnosed as genuine early gallbladder carcinoma, simple cholecystectomy in recommended as the preferred treatment of choice.
