Abstract

A case of rupture uterine vein in a 32 - year old lady in labour was described. Problems of diagnosis, possible aetiological factors and management strategies were discussed. This is the first case reported in this hospital and probably the first in this country. A high index of suspicions is required to diagnose this rate condition and thus preventing the catastrophy.
