Fourty-nine Malays, six Chinese and 25 Indians adolescents were randomly chosen and interviewed by using questionnaire. The findings showed that only few parents (2.5%) allocated study area to their children. Respondents perceived space problems and uncomfortable surroundings as major factors that affect their studies. The study also showed that the respondents were keen to be involved in various social activities especially in sports. Unfortunately, a number of them did not have the opportunity to enjoy social activities due to lack of facilities. In general, respondent had a lot of friends in the housing area and most of the social activities were carried out with these friends. A majority of respondent were not happy with the flat life because of problems such as noise, crowding and lack of space.
