There are three situations of supervision in our system of education namely: supervision of teacher trainees, supervision of teachers by the members of the Federal lnspectorates and that of the principal towards his teachers. The principal is in the best position to supervise his teacher. Although initially teachers may not readily accept the presence of the principal in class, things can be sorted out once it becomes part of the school culture. Subsequently, the article goes on to discuss the various steps and processes of supervision. The process starts with planning and goes on to Implementation, and evaluation. Although each component is being discussed separately, in essence, they are closely interrelated.
