Author Guidelines

  1. MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

 

The Journal of Contemporary Issues in Media & Communication (JCIMC) publishes original research articles, theoretical papers, case studies, and conceptual works in the field of media and communication. By submitting a manuscript to JCIMC, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original and has not been published previously (except as an abstract or part of a thesis or conference proceeding).
  • The manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All authors have agreed to the submission.

 

JCIMC uses a double-blind peer review process. All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. The average review time is 8–12 weeks. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software in line with COPE guidelines.

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS):

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text is 1.5 space; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
